In a recent interview, Lekjaa emphasized the need for continued investment in youth academies and infrastructure to sustain success.
Under Lekjaa's leadership, Morocco has secured the rights to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations and is co-hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup with Spain and Portugal. These events are seen as catalysts for further development of the sport in the country.
Lekjaa also highlighted the importance of professionalizing domestic leagues and improving the performance of Moroccan clubs in African competitions. The federation has launched initiatives to increase grassroots participation and enhance coaching standards.
