At least four people were killed when a Russian drone struck a minibus in the Kherson region of southern Ukraine, Ukrainian officials reported on Wednesday. The attack occurred in the village of Kizomys, near the city of Kherson, according to the regional military administration.
The Kherson regional prosecutor's office said the drone hit the vehicle as it was transporting civilians. Three men and one woman were killed, and two other people were injured and taken to hospital. The victims were aged between 52 and 76.
Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly accused Russian forces of targeting civilian vehicles and infrastructure in the Kherson region, which has been under constant shelling and drone attacks since Ukrainian forces liberated the city in November 2022.
The attack comes amid ongoing hostilities along the front line in southern Ukraine. The Kherson region remains a frequent target of Russian strikes, with local officials regularly reporting casualties among civilians.
