Fluke Corporation has introduced the TLPV2 Solar Test Lead Set, designed to enhance safety for technicians working on operating photovoltaic (PV) systems. The new set eliminates the need for risky live-box voltage measurements, a common hazard in solar installations.
According to Fluke, the TLPV2 includes fused test leads and a specialized connector that allows safe voltage testing at the inverter or combiner box without exposing technicians to live components. This addresses a key safety concern in the solar industry, where arc flash and shock risks are prevalent.
The product is compatible with Fluke's 393 FC and 283 FC clamp meters, as well as other multimeters with standard safety input jacks. It is rated for CAT III 1000V and CAT IV 600V environments, ensuring robust protection.
Fluke emphasizes that the TLPV2 meets international safety standards, including IEC 61010-031, and is designed for use in both residential and commercial solar arrays. The set is available now through authorized distributors.
