A Florala man has been convicted on multiple child sex crime charges, according to court records. The conviction was announced by the Covington County District Attorney's Office.
The man, whose name has not been released to the public, was found guilty of sodomy and sexual abuse involving a minor. The crimes were reported to have occurred over a period of time in Covington County, Alabama.
The jury returned the guilty verdict after a trial in Covington County Circuit Court. Sentencing is scheduled for a later date, and the man faces a potential lengthy prison term.
