Five killed in trailer-tractor crash on Eldoret-Nakuru highway

Five people have died in a road accident involving a trailer and a tractor that collided near Mathaarub Centre along the Eldoret-Nakuru road, a few kilometres from Burnt Forest, according to police reports.

Witnesses said the lorry driver lost control of the vehicle, which then hit the tractor. The accident occurred on the morning of June 23, 2026. Emergency services arrived at the scene and confirmed the deaths.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. The bodies of the victims have been taken to a nearby mortuary. Authorities urge drivers to exercise caution on the highway.
