In the African standings, Morocco has made significant progress, moving into fourth position on the continent. This places the Moroccan team just outside the continental podium, currently occupied by Nigeria, South Africa, and Ghana, according to the global list.
The ranking also shows a continued close contest between Ivory Coast and Algeria. The Ivorian team maintains a narrow lead over its North African rival, preserving the status quo in their direct comparison within the African hierarchy.
The global top of the ranking remains stable, with Spain, England, and France holding the top three positions worldwide. The next FIFA Women's World Ranking update is scheduled for August 2026.
