A high-level FIFA inspection delegation has arrived in Morocco to evaluate the country's sports and hospitality infrastructure. The visit is part of the assessment process for the joint bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup, which Morocco is co-hosting with Spain and Portugal.
The delegation's agenda includes reviewing stadiums, training sites, accommodation, and transportation networks. This inspection is a standard procedural step for all host nations in the bidding process.
The 2030 World Cup is set to be the first to be hosted across three confederations, with matches also scheduled in South America. Uruguay, Argentina, and Paraguay will host three opening matches to commemorate the tournament's centenary.
FIFA's final decision on the host bid is a formality, as the Spain-Portugal-Morocco bid is currently the only one submitted for the 2030 tournament. The official confirmation is expected to be made later this year.
