Actor Frazer Hammill, best known for his role as Scott Windsor on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale, has died at the age of 41. His death was confirmed by South Yorkshire Police and a coroner's inquest.
According to reports from the inquest held at Doncaster Coroner's Court, Hammill was found deceased at his home in Doncaster on March 18, 2026. A note was left for a neighbor. The inquest heard that he had been arrested earlier on the day of his death and was released under investigation.
Assistant Coroner, Nicholas Rheinberg, recorded a conclusion of suicide. The inquest heard evidence that Hammill had struggled with his mental health.
Hammill played Scott Windsor on Emmerdale from 2019 to 2022. His family has been notified and are understood to be receiving support.
