The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced a planned maintenance exercise for Thursday, April 23, 2026. The work is necessary for critical infrastructure upgrades to improve the reliability of the power supply network.
The maintenance will affect parts of the Greater Accra, Eastern, and Volta regions. Specific areas to be impacted include sections of Tema, Ashaiman, Dodowa, Afienya, and surrounding districts. The outages are scheduled to occur between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm local time.
ECG has advised customers in the affected areas to plan accordingly for the temporary disruption. The company apologized for any inconvenience caused and stated that the upgrades are essential for ensuring a more stable power supply in the future.
