CORAL GABLES, Fla. β The 22nd-ranked Duke women's tennis team concluded its regular season with a 4-2 victory over the University of Miami on Sunday, April 12, 2026. Freshman Aspen Schuman secured the decisive point for the Blue Devils with a three-set singles victory.
The match was held at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center. Duke improved its overall record to 16-6 and finished the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) regular season with a 10-3 mark. Miami, ranked 35th, fell to 13-8 overall and 7-6 in conference play.
Schuman's clinching win came on court five, where she defeated Miami's Leonie Schuknecht 6-4, 4-6, 6-2. It was her third match-clinching victory of the week, following wins against Florida State and Clemson. Duke also earned singles wins from Iuliia Bryzgalova and Shavit Kimchi.
The Blue Devils will next compete in the ACC Championship, which begins on Wednesday, April 15, in Cary, North Carolina. The tournament seedings will be announced following the conclusion of all regular-season matches.
