Miami Dolphins rookie wide receiver Chris Bell returned to practice on Monday, according to multiple reports. Bell, an undrafted free agent out of Alabama, had been sidelined for much of training camp with an undisclosed injury.
Bell's return adds depth to a Dolphins receiving corps that includes Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Braxton Berrios. The team is looking for contributors behind its top receivers, and Bell's performance in camp before the injury had drawn positive reviews.
Head coach Mike McDaniel has not yet commented on Bell's status for the upcoming preseason game, but his return to practice is a positive sign for his chances of making the roster.
The Dolphins are scheduled to play their next preseason game on Saturday, August 22, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
