Fabio Di Giannantonio won the Catalan Grand Prix on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The race was interrupted twice by red flags, the first after a crash involving Pedro Acosta and Alex Marquez.
On lap 5, Pedro Acosta's bike suffered a mechanical issue, causing Alex Marquez to collide with him. Marquez's Ducati-Gresini was destroyed in the crash, and he was taken to the medical center with injuries. The race was red-flagged.
After the restart, French rider Johann Zarco crashed at turn 1, bringing out another red flag. The race was shortened to 24 laps, and Di Giannantonio held off challenges to take his first MotoGP win of the season.
Francesco Bagnaia finished second, with Marc Marquez third. Alex Marquez was later diagnosed with a fractured wrist and will miss the next race.
