South African crime novelist Deon Meyer has entered into an exclusive rights agreement with production companies Both Worlds and Paradoxal to develop two of his novels for television. The deal, announced in March 2026, covers the properties 'Trackers' and 'The Last Hunt'.
Both Worlds, a South African production house with an International Emmy nomination, and Paris-based Paradoxal Films will co-develop and co-produce the adaptations. The partnership aims to bring Meyer's internationally acclaimed thrillers to a global audience.
Deon Meyer is a bestselling author whose works, originally written in Afrikaans, have been translated into numerous languages. His novels are known for their complex plots and deep exploration of post-apartheid South African society.
The specific broadcasters, streaming platforms, or release dates for the adaptations have not yet been announced as part of the initial development deal.
