AUGUSTA, Ga. — Bryson DeChambeau, known as the "Mad Scientist" of professional golf, missed the cut at the 2026 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club, finishing at 6-over par through two rounds.
DeChambeau, who competes on the LIV Golf League, needed only a bogey on the 18th hole on Friday to make the cut, but was unable to convert, finishing two strokes above the cut line. His struggles in Augusta National's bunkers proved costly over the two rounds.
The 2026 Masters marked another difficult outing at Augusta for DeChambeau, who has been one of the most prominent figures in professional golf since joining LIV Golf. Despite his reputation for power and unconventional approaches to the game, the course's demanding layout proved too much over the opening two rounds.
The cut at the 2026 Masters was set at 4-over par, meaning DeChambeau's 6-over total left him two strokes short of advancing to the weekend rounds of the 90th Masters Tournament.
