Police in South Australia are investigating after the body of a newborn baby was found in a portable toilet at the Wildlands music festival in Adelaide on Saturday, 29 June 2026.
According to South Australia Police, officers were called to the festival site at around 8:00 PM local time after a festival-goer discovered the infant's body. The baby was declared deceased at the scene.
Detectives have launched an investigation and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. The cause of death has not yet been determined, and a post-mortem examination is expected to be conducted.
Wildlands is an annual music festival that features electronic and dance music acts. The festival continued as scheduled, but organizers expressed shock and offered condolences.
