Police in De Pere, Wisconsin, are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the driver of a vehicle that was modified to resemble Lightning McQueen, the animated race car from Disney's 'Cars' franchise.
According to a press release from the De Pere Police Department, the incident occurred on May 26, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the 900 block of Main Avenue. Officers responded to a report of a vehicle driving recklessly. The suspect vehicle is described as a red car with decals and modifications mimicking the character Lightning McQueen.
The driver is described as a white male in his 20s, with short brown hair, and was last seen wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. No injuries were reported, but the vehicle caused minor damage to a parked car before fleeing the scene.
