KUCHING: A male cyclist was killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident along Jalan Stutong early on Friday (May 1).
Kuching OCPD Asst Comm Alexson Naga Chabu said they received a report about the incident at about 5.43am.
βPreliminary investigations indicate the victim was cycling when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene,β he said in a statement. The victim died at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
