Moroccan bank Crédit du Maroc, in partnership with the electronic payment solutions company S2M, a subsidiary of the HPS group, has officially launched an instant payment service. This innovation allows customers to transfer funds between bank accounts in real time, 24/7, using their mobile banking applications.
The service, which went live in early 2026, is part of a broader digital transformation initiative within Morocco's financial sector. It leverages S2M's established payment infrastructure to facilitate immediate transactions, moving beyond the traditional delays associated with standard bank transfers.
Industry analysts note that the launch aligns with the global trend towards faster payment systems and aims to enhance financial inclusion and convenience for consumers and businesses. The service is expected to compete with other digital payment methods and wallets available in the Moroccan market.
