Cesc Fabregas, the head coach of Serie A club Como, has stated that he has not looked at the league table since 2025. The comments came following his team's 2-0 defeat to league leaders Juventus on April 13, 2026.
Despite the loss, Fabregas emphasized the positive performance of his young squad against the top side. "I haven't looked at the table since last year," Fabregas was quoted as saying in post-match interviews. "For me, it's more important to see the growth of the team, the bravery we showed today."
Como, promoted to Serie A for the 2025-26 season, currently sits in 15th place in the 20-team league. Fabregas, the former Arsenal, Barcelona, and Chelsea midfielder, took over as Como's player-manager in 2023 and transitioned to a full-time coaching role after retiring as a player.
The Spaniard's approach focuses on long-term development rather than short-term league position, a philosophy he is implementing with a squad containing several promising young players.
