Christie laser projectors are illuminating a new immersive water show celebrating the 900th birth anniversary of Southern Song Dynasty poet Lu You. Staged at the Lu You Hometown Scenic Area in Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, the spectacle features a combination of water, light, and sound to bring the poet's works to life.
The show uses Christie DWU1800-GS and DWU1400-GS laser projectors to project images onto water screens and surrounding structures. According to Christie, the projectors were chosen for their brightness and reliability in outdoor environments.
Lu You (1125–1210) was a prominent poet of the Southern Song Dynasty, known for his patriotic themes and lyrical poetry. The 900th anniversary of his birth is being celebrated with various events in his hometown.
