Chinese manufacturer Suzhou Harmontronics Automation Technology (Harmontronics), a supplier of automated lines and machines for the automotive and electronics industries, confirmed on Friday, August 21, 2026, that its Moroccan subsidiary in Tangier is expanding its operations. The company is extending its international footprint in smart automotive equipment.
The expansion, located in the Tangier Free Zone, aims to increase production capacity for automated assembly lines and testing equipment used by automotive manufacturers. Harmontronics' Moroccan unit was established to serve clients in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, leveraging Tangier's strategic position near major shipping routes.
According to the company's announcement, the project will create additional jobs and enhance local engineering capabilities. The Moroccan subsidiary will focus on customizing equipment for regional automotive plants, including those in Morocco's growing automotive hub.
