The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made another arrest in the ongoing probe into the NEET-UG paper leak case. On Tuesday, the agency detained a coaching center owner from Maharashtra, identified as a key figure in the alleged leak network.
According to CBI officials, the arrested individual is suspected of facilitating access to the leaked question paper for several students in exchange for large sums of money. The arrest follows a series of raids conducted across multiple states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan.
The CBI has so far arrested over a dozen people in connection with the case, including students, middlemen, and coaching center staff. The investigation is focused on tracing the source of the leak and identifying all beneficiaries.
The NEET-UG 2024 exam, held on May 5, 2024, was marred by allegations of a widespread paper leak, prompting the CBI to take over the investigation from state police forces. The agency has assured the public that it is committed to a thorough and transparent probe.
