The 26-year-old forward, who is the club's top scorer this campaign, expressed his desire to reward the club's supporters with success in the promotion play-offs. "I'm still hungry for more goals," Linney was quoted as saying, highlighting his ambition for the crucial matches ahead.
Carlisle United will now prepare for the two-legged League Two play-off semi-finals, where they will face one of the other teams that finished in the promotion play-off places. The winner of the play-off final at Wembley Stadium will earn promotion to EFL League One.
