Algeria took the lead in the first half through a goal from striker Naïma Bouhenni. The Lionesses equalized early in the second half via a penalty converted by captain Gabrielle Onguéné. However, Algeria regained the lead with a second goal from midfielder Imène Merrouche, securing the victory.
