The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially dismissed an appeal from the Senegalese Football Federation regarding their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final match against Morocco. The appeal sought to overturn the result of the match, which Morocco won 2-1 on January 29, 2025, in Bouaké, Ivory Coast.

CAF's Disciplinary Board reviewed the case and found no grounds to sanction the Moroccan Football Federation or to alter the match result. The decision, announced on March 20, 2026, confirms Morocco's qualification for the AFCON final against the winner of the other semi-final.

The Senegalese federation had filed a complaint alleging that the match officials made critical errors. However, CAF stated that the refereeing decisions did not constitute a clear error warranting the match's annulment. The governing body emphasized the finality of the referee's decisions on the field of play as per the laws of the game.

With the appeal rejected, Morocco will proceed to the AFCON 2025 final, scheduled for February 8, 2025, in Abidjan. The ruling brings closure to the contentious semi-final and allows tournament preparations to continue without further dispute.
