Sarah Mukuna, the Director of Member Associations at the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has resigned from her position. The resignation was confirmed by CAF in a statement released on April 1, 2026.

Mukuna, who had held the role since 2021, stated that her decision to step down was for personal reasons. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve African football and wished the organization success in its future endeavors.

CAF President Patrice Motsepe acknowledged Mukuna's contributions, particularly her work in strengthening relationships with CAF's 54 member associations. The organization has not yet announced a successor for the role.

The resignation comes as CAF continues to implement its strategic roadmap, 'CAF Vision 2030,' which aims to develop football across the continent. The departure of a senior official is a notable administrative change for the governing body.
