Algerian clubs CR Belouizdad and USM Alger face significant challenges to advance in the 2025-2026 CAF Confederation Cup after losing their quarter-final first legs. CR Belouizdad was defeated 2-0 by Zamalek of Egypt in Cairo on April 6, 2026. USM Alger fell 1-0 to Libya's Al Ahli Tripoli in Benghazi on the same date.
The second legs are scheduled for April 13, 2026. CR Belouizdad will host Zamalek at the Stade du 5 Juillet in Algiers, while USM Alger will welcome Al Ahli Tripoli to the same stadium in a later kickoff. Both Algerian sides must overturn their deficits to progress to the semi-finals.
The CAF Confederation Cup is Africa's secondary club football competition. The aggregate winners of these ties will advance to the semi-finals, moving closer to continental glory and a place in the CAF Super Cup.
