Gabonese international defender Bruno Ecuele Manga has officially retired from professional football. The 37-year-old center-back, who earned over 90 caps for Gabon, concluded his playing career after his contract with French Ligue 2 club Dijon FCO expired in the summer of 2025.
Ecuele Manga is now transitioning into a career in football coaching and management. He has expressed a strong interest in youth development and has begun taking the necessary coaching qualifications in France. His long-term goal is to contribute to football administration, potentially within Gabonese football structures.
During his playing career, Ecuele Manga was known for his stints at Cardiff City in the English Premier League and Championship, as well as with FC Lorient and Dijon in France. He was a key figure for the Gabon national team, representing his country in multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.
