SUBIC BAY FREEPORT, Philippines — The Best Western Plus Hotel Subic has announced a P600-million expansion project to construct a new building within the Subic Bay Freeport Zone. The hotel, which opened in 2017, is the first internationally branded hotel in the free port.

According to a verified press release from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA), the expansion involves the construction of a new wing. The project is expected to create additional jobs and increase the hotel's room capacity to cater to growing tourism and business traffic in the region.

The SBMA stated that the investment aligns with efforts to boost economic activity in the free port. The expansion is scheduled to commence in the second quarter of 2026, pending final approvals.
