Ben Ikin has resigned as chief executive of the Queensland Rugby League (QRL), with his tenure ending at the close of July 2026. The QRL confirmed the resignation on May 7, 2026.
Ikin, who has held the role for nearly three years, was instrumental in the Maroons' State of Origin campaigns during his tenure. His departure comes just ahead of the 2026 State of Origin series.
The QRL has not yet announced an interim or permanent replacement for Ikin. He will continue in his role until the end of July to ensure a smooth transition.
