A Vancouver Island man has pleaded guilty in what police describe as the most prolific case of voyeurism ever prosecuted in Canada. The Saanich Police Department said investigators identified at least 652 women and girls as victims.
In a media release, police said the man was arrested after a lengthy investigation that uncovered a large number of videos and images. The case has been called unprecedented in Canadian legal history due to the scale of the offenses.
Police have not released the man's name to protect the identities of the victims. The investigation involved multiple agencies and is ongoing.
