National housebuilder Barratt Homes has donated over 1,000 bricks to Dudley College of Technology to support students in its construction trades programs. The materials will be used for practical bricklaying and masonry training at the college's Broadway campus.
The donation, part of the company's community engagement efforts in the West Midlands, aims to provide students with hands-on experience using industry-standard materials. A spokesperson for Barratt Homes stated the initiative helps bridge the gap between education and the practical demands of the construction industry.
Dudley College offers a range of construction courses, including apprenticeships and full-time study in fields like bricklaying, carpentry, and plumbing. College representatives expressed gratitude for the donation, noting it directly enhances the quality of vocational training by conserving resources for other educational needs.
