Swiss qualifier Susan Bandecchi (WTA 215) was defeated by Daria Kasatkina (WTA 53) 7-5, 7-6 in the second round of Roland-Garros on May 29, 2026. Bandecchi, who came through qualifying, could not secure a spot in the third round.
Kasatkina, the Russian player, broke Bandecchi's serve in the first set to take it 7-5. The second set went to a tiebreak, which Kasatkina won to close out the match in straight sets.
Bandecchi's exit means no fourth Swiss woman will reach the round of 16 at this year's French Open. The match was played on Court 14 at Stade Roland-Garros in Paris.
