Moroccan football legend Badou Zaki has been appointed as the new head coach of the Jordan national football team, according to reports from multiple sports outlets. The announcement was made by the Jordan Football Association on July 20, 2026.
Zaki, a former goalkeeper who represented Morocco in the 1986 and 1994 World Cups, brings extensive experience to the role. He previously coached the Moroccan national team from 2012 to 2013 and has managed several clubs in Morocco and the Middle East.
The 67-year-old replaces the previous coach, whose tenure ended after Jordan's recent matches. Zaki's first task will be to prepare the team for upcoming World Cup qualifiers and the 2027 AFC Asian Cup.
