B2Gold Namibia and Agra ProVision have launched a joint bursary scheme, awarding 20 bursaries to Namibian students pursuing agricultural studies. The initiative, announced on April 1, 2025, aims to address the country's agricultural skills gap and support the future of the farming sector.
The bursaries will cover tuition, accommodation, and a stipend for students enrolled in agriculture-related programs at institutions like the University of Namibia and the Namibia University of Science and Technology. The program is designed to empower a new generation of farmers and agricultural professionals.
This partnership marks the first such collaboration between the mining company B2Gold and the agricultural firm Agra. Officials stated the investment is part of a long-term commitment to sustainable development and food security in Namibia.
