ASC Ville de Dakar has officially announced its 13-player roster for the Basketball Africa League (BAL) Sahara Conference, scheduled from April 24 to May 3, 2026, in Rabat, Morocco. This marks the Senegalese club's second consecutive appearance in the continental competition.
Head coach Moustapha Gaye's strategy focuses on a strong local foundation supplemented by key elite additions. The squad is built around the core of players who won the 2025 Senegalese Nationale 1 championship, ensuring team cohesion and familiarity with the coach's system.
The team's preparations included a recent training camp in Saly, Senegal. They are set to depart for Morocco on April 20 to finalize their readiness for the tournament, where they will compete in Group A against other qualified teams from the Sahara Conference region.
The BAL, a partnership between the NBA and FIBA, aims to showcase the highest level of club basketball in Africa. The Sahara Conference is one of three regional conferences whose top teams will advance to the BAL playoffs and finals later in the season.
