AS FAR beats Pyramids FC to reach CAF Champions League semis

Morocco's AS FAR advanced to the CAF Champions League semifinals after a 2-1 aggregate victory over Egypt's Pyramids FC.

Moroccan club AS FAR (Forces Armées Royales) has qualified for the semifinals of the CAF Champions League. The team progressed after defeating Egypt's Pyramids FC with a 2-1 aggregate score across their two-legged quarterfinal tie.

After playing to a 0-0 draw in the first leg in Cairo, AS FAR secured a 2-1 victory in the return leg at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat on March 21, 2026. The win propelled the Moroccan side into the final four of Africa's premier club competition.

In the semifinals, AS FAR will face the winner of the quarterfinal between South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns and Tanzania's Simba SC. The other semifinal will feature Algeria's CR Belouizdad against the winner of the tie between Tunisia's Espérance de Tunis and Angola's Petro de Luanda.

The CAF Champions League winner will represent Africa at the 2026 FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
