French tennis player Arthur Fils has provided an update on his coaching partnership with former Wimbledon champion Goran Ivanisevic, which began in early 2026. After three months of collaboration, Fils noted significant improvements in his game, particularly in his serve and mental approach.
In a recent interview, Fils stated, 'Goran has brought a lot of experience and a different perspective. My serve has become a bigger weapon, and I feel more confident in big moments.' The 21-year-old, currently ranked No. 18 in the world, has shown promising results in ATP events this season, including a semifinal appearance in Marseille.
Ivanisevic, who previously coached Novak Djokovic to multiple Grand Slam titles, joined Fils's team in February 2026. The Croatian legend has been focusing on refining Fils's aggressive playing style and improving his consistency on faster surfaces.
Fils added, 'We are working hard every day. Goran pushes me to be more aggressive and to trust my shots. It's still early, but I feel we are on the right track.' The partnership is seen as a key step in Fils's ambition to break into the top 10 and compete for major titles.
