Maccabi Tel Aviv announced on Tuesday the signing of American center Armando Bacot (26, 2.08 meters). The club confirmed the move on its official website, adding Bacot to a frontcourt that already includes Daniel Theis.
Bacot, who played college basketball at the University of North Carolina, spent the 2025-26 season with the Utah Jazz in the NBA, where he averaged 3.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 12.4 minutes per game. He also had a brief stint with the Memphis Hustle in the G League.
Maccabi head coach Oded Kattash said: "We have been tracking him for a long time. He is a young player with a lot of room to improve, and we like that." The club views Bacot as a key addition for the upcoming EuroLeague season.
Bacot is expected to join the team for preseason training in September. Financial terms were not disclosed.
