Jammu and Kashmir handball player Anuj Langer has been selected to represent the Indian men's national handball team. The selection is for the upcoming Asian Central Zone Men's Handball Championship, scheduled to be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from April 10 to 16, 2026.
Anuj Langer, a defender, is a product of the J&K State Sports Council and has previously represented India in the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. His selection was confirmed by the Handball Federation of India following a national coaching camp.
The Indian team is set to depart for Uzbekistan in early April to compete against other nations in the central zone, including the hosts, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan. The championship serves as a key qualifying event for the 2027 World Men's Handball Championship.
