In his initial statement, Robertson addressed the notion of his legacy, explicitly stating he does not view himself as a Liverpool legend. "I've never considered myself a legend," Robertson was quoted as saying. "The legends are the ones who are on the walls of Anfield."
Robertson, 32, joined Liverpool from Hull City in 2017 for a reported Β£8 million. He became a key figure in one of the club's most successful modern eras, winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and League Cup. His consistent performances at left-back made him a fan favorite.
