Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) has achieved a historic milestone with record enrollment for the fall 2026 semester, according to official college data verified by the Minnesota State system. The college reported a 12% increase in enrollment compared to the previous year, with over 3,200 students enrolled as of July 2026.
This growth is attributed to expanded programs in healthcare, technology, and skilled trades, as well as increased outreach to rural and nontraditional students. College President Dr. Carrie B. Johnson stated, 'This record enrollment reflects our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education that meets the needs of our community and workforce.'
The enrollment surge also includes a 20% rise in online course registrations, driven by flexible learning options. ATCC, located in Alexandria, Minnesota, serves as a key educational hub for the region, offering associate degrees and technical certifications.
