Dar es Salaam. Airtel Tanzania has paid a dividend of Sh65.48 billion to the Government of Tanzania for the 2025/26 financial year, according to a statement from the company. This brings the total dividend payments by the telecom operator to the State since 2019 to approximately Sh350 billion.

The dividend cheque was presented to the Minister for Finance, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba, in Dar es Salaam. The government holds a 40 percent stake in Airtel Tanzania through the Tanzania Telecommunications Corporation (TTCL).
