Air Canada has suspended its flights between Toronto and New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). The airline confirmed the suspension, which took effect in late March 2026, is part of its ongoing network adjustments.
The carrier stated the decision was driven by high jet fuel costs and a review of its route network to optimize resources. Flights to the New York area continue via Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), which offer more connectivity for the airline's operations.
Air Canada had operated the Toronto-JFK route with up to four daily flights using Airbus A220 aircraft. Passengers booked on affected flights have been re-accommodated on other services or offered refunds. The airline emphasized its commitment to the broader New York market despite this specific suspension.
