The head coaches for the five African nations that have qualified for the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup have been confirmed. The qualified teams are Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia.
As of April 2026, Morocco is led by Walid Regragui, who famously guided the Atlas Lions to a historic semi-final finish in the 2022 tournament. Senegal's head coach is Aliou CissΓ©, the long-serving manager who led the team to their first Africa Cup of Nations title in 2021.
Egypt is managed by Hossam Hassan, who took over the role in early 2024. The reigning African champions, Ivory Coast, are coached by Emerse FaΓ©, who took interim charge during their 2023 AFCON triumph and was later appointed permanently. Tunisia's head coach is Jalel Kadri, who has been in charge since 2022.
These coaches will now focus on final preparations for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
