Aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Awentami Paul Afoko has stated that the party must rebuild confidence among businesses and return to its traditional position as a champion of enterprise, innovation, and wealth creation. He made the remarks while outlining his vision for the party's future.
Afoko emphasized that the NPP's historical role as a pro-business party has been eroded and that a 'New Prosperity Agenda' is needed to restore trust. He argued that the party must focus on policies that support private sector growth and job creation.
According to Afoko, the NPP must engage directly with business leaders and entrepreneurs to understand their concerns and develop a clear economic roadmap. He called for a return to the party's core values of free enterprise and economic liberalism.
The aspiring chairman's comments come as the NPP prepares for internal elections to choose new national officers. Afoko is one of several candidates vying for the top position.
