The High Court in Accra has granted bail in the sum of GH¢100,000 to Kwame Baffoe, also known as Abronye DC, the Bono Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). The bail was granted on May 21, 2026, pending his trial.
The court, presided over by Justice Bankole Thompson, admitted the accused to bail with two sureties. The sureties must be justified with documents of landed property within the jurisdiction of the court.
Abronye DC is facing charges related to alleged comments he made about a judge. The specifics of the charges were not immediately available from the court proceedings.
