The 21st edition of the Timitar Festival, titled 'Signs and Cultures,' concluded on Saturday evening, July 25, 2026, in Agadir, Morocco. The final night featured two concerts blending Gnaoua music with Arabic and Amazigh songs, highlighting the festival's theme of openness and cultural dialogue.
According to the official festival program, the closing performances took place at the outdoor theater of the Agadir Cultural Center. Artists included the Gnaoua group from Essaouira and Amazigh singer Fatima Tabaamrant, who performed traditional songs. The festival, which ran from July 22 to 25, attracted thousands of attendees from Morocco and abroad.
Organized by the Timitar Association in partnership with the Agadir City Council and the Ministry of Culture, the event aimed to promote Amazigh culture and musical diversity. No major incidents were reported during the festival.
