World Wrestling Entertainment has officially confirmed the main event matches for WrestleMania 42. The event is scheduled to take place over two nights on April 4 and 5, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
According to verified announcements, the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship will be defended in the main event of Night 2. Current champion Cody Rhodes is set to face the winner of the 2026 Men's Royal Rumble, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, in a highly anticipated singles match. This bout was confirmed following a confrontation on the March 13, 2026, episode of SmackDown.
The main event of Night 1 will feature the Women's World Championship. Champion Bayley will defend her title against the winner of the 2026 Women's Royal Rumble, IYO SKY. Their match was also made official on recent WWE programming, continuing a rivalry stemming from SKY's betrayal of Bayley's faction.
Other major matches confirmed for the card include Seth "Freakin" Rollins versus CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship, and Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa taking on The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso). WWE has promoted this as the most star-studded WrestleMania in history, leveraging part-time returns of major attractions like The Rock and CM Punk.
Ticket sales for the event began in late 2025, with the company reporting strong demand. The event will be broadcast globally on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network internationally.
