The St. John's Red Storm men's basketball team is one victory away from repeating as Big East Tournament champions after a decisive 91-72 win over Seton Hall in the semifinals on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Madison Square Garden. The victory propels the second-seeded Johnnies into Saturday night's championship game.

St. John's built a commanding lead in the first half, but saw a 19-point advantage shrink to six points in the second half as Seton Hall mounted a comeback. A key play from forward Zuby Ejiofor helped stem the Pirates' momentum. The Red Storm then pulled away for good, led by a game-high 23 points from guard Daniss Jenkins.

With the win, St. John's improves to 21-12 on the season and will face the top-seeded UConn Huskies in the tournament final. The Huskies defeated St. John's in both regular-season meetings. A victory would secure the Red Storm an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
